Of course it's a drug that is found in ayahuasca but it is also secreted naturally from our pineal gland during deep REM sleep. Additionally it is released after birth and death and during traumatic life situations and experiences.
It...brings what is called Satori. Personally I never tried it and don't have the balls to try it. But would you? Would your rather try an unknown substance that may bring answer to all of life's questions, meet Infinity in the process even though it may entail a harrowing experience with aliens and gnomes?
See, I have a theory. I think it is just like a deep vivid dream except you teleport physically into that different realm. As S.W.I.M would say the 'veil is lifted' or 'you are not in the room anymore'. It is not different per se from Moses seeing burning bush, Hazrat Muhammad's secretion during his cosmic miraj trip, Rumi receiving his illumination and during those profound moments. But the reason why we are ill adapted even after experiencing them in birth and during REM sleep is because it is a bit like throwing a random heavenly die. Just like tonight's dream ..or nightmare you don't know what to expect. Like an infinite-sided dice.
Does God play dice? Asked Einstein. Of course our dreams are reverberated from our experiential circumstances. Hence the karma. It is kind of like entering through a random portal to a matrix world. Joe Rogan has been popularizing it and when I tried a 'legal' Pandora light entrainment therapy with a 1-2 punch combo along flotation I think it got secreted naturally. THAT I'd recommend. And in a heartbeat. It is far more natural, bumpy and lovely.
I don't think any substance that in high dosage produces profound shift - albeit even non-addictive- is natural to our psyche. It is like taking a heavy jolt of a substance. So not a Terence McKenna fan here. They like streamlined their entire lifestyle pursuing this DMT world and foregoing this Life here. Alan Watts would never approve. Even Ram Dass said when Neem Korali Baba took LSD and said: "It is like meeting Christ for 2 hours. But even better is being the Christ."
